Louisiana DOTD considers $115 million in bids at Sept. 30 bid opening
BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development considered more than $115 million in bids Sept. 30.
With a bid of $41.6 million, T.J. Lambrecht Construction Inc. of Joliet, Ill., was the low bidder on the most expensive job, a project in Caddo Parish calling for installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay, concrete overlay, installing concrete slab span bridges and related work on Interstate 49 North.
Other projects listed by bid, contractor, description and parish are:
• $26.8 million, Diamond B Construction Co. of Alexandria, La.: Installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay, installing concrete slab span bridges and related work to widen Louisiana Highway 28 from two to four lanes in Rapides Parish.
• $7 million, Hard Rock Construction Co. of Metairie, La.: Asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on Carrollton Avenue in Orleans Parish.
• $6.5 million, Gilchrist Construction Co. of Alexandria: Asphalt overlay, installing a concrete girder span bridge and related work to replace the Little River Bridge on Louisiana Highway 500 in Grant and LaSalle parishes.
• $2.5 million, Barriere Construction Co. of Boutte, La.: Asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on Rowley and East Genie streets, Packenham and Cougar drives, Mehle Avenue and Paris Road in St. Bernard Parish.
• $2.5 million, Best-Yet Builders of Shreveport, La.: Asphalt overlay and related work on U.S. Highway 80 in Bossier Parish.
• $2.5 million, Key Constructors Inc. of Madison, Miss.: Asphalt overlay, installing concrete slab span bridges and related work to replace three bridges on Louisiana Highway 499 over Caney Creek in Jackson Parish.
• $2.4 million, T.L. Construction Inc. of Alexandria: Installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay and related work to replace seven bridges on Louisiana Highway 127 in Winn Parish.
• $2 million, Bessette Development Corp. of Lake Charles, La.: Asphalt
