The Application Deadline date has been moved from July 23, 2008 to Wednesday, July 30, 2008. The Architectural Selection Board Meeting date has been moved from August 6, 2008 to Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Claiborne Bldg., 1201 N. Third Street, Room 1-145, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

2. New Office Building, Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Project No. 09-B41-08-01, Part 01.
This project consists of a new building for the Louisiana Pharmacy Board. This building will house typical office functions in support of The Boards functions of Credentials, Controlled Substances, Perscription Monitoring, Compliance and Investigations, Administration and Support Spaces. This project will be administered by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy and applicants should be familiar with their requirements before applying. Any questions should be directed to The Board. The designer shall prepare and submit all required drawings to Facility Planning and Control in AutoCad. Drawings shall follow the format specified in the "Instructions to Designers for AutoCad Drawings Submittal". The funds available for construction are approximately $3,737,500.00 with a fee of approximately $320,240.00. Contract design time is 270 consecutive calendar days; including 90 days review time. Thereafter, liquidated damages in the amount of $300.00 per day will be assessed. Further information is available from Mr. Carlos M. CHLORINE SCRUBBER AT THE GRETNA WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Gretna in the Mayor's Office, Gretna City Hall, 2nd Street and Huey P. Long Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana 70053, Tuesday, August 12th, 2008, until 9:45 a.m., local time, for the Installation of Chlorine Scrubber at the Gretna Waste Water Treatment Plant. July 16, 23, 30, 2008
At 10:00 a.m. local time on the same day, in the Mayor's Office, Gretna City Hall, Gretna, Louisiana, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Without limiting the scope of work described herein, the proposed bid provides for the installation of a dry chlorine scrubber at the Gretna Waste Water Treatment plant and modifications to the chlorine room.
All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file with the City of Gretna's Director of Public Utilities, 100 5th Street, Gretna, Louisiana, 70053, and at the office of Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 4176 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119.
Copies of the Bidding Documents and Contract Documents, consisting of Drawings and Specifications for use in preparing Bids may be secured from the office of Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc., 4176 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119, (504) 486-5901 by licensed contractors upon payment of $20.00 per set. Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than ten calendar days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents furnished to prime bidders, the deposit less $10.00 will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than ten calendar days after receipt of bids. Good condition is defined as free of all pencil, pen and other marks. All sets furnished to subcontractors and suppliers are non-refundable. Partial sets will not be issued. Request for mailing Contract Documents will be handled by Federal Express only, provided the addressee supplies his courier's account number and "street" address.
Each Bidder must obtain a Contractor's License from the state of Louisiana prior to submitting his bid.
The work for this project is classified as Category IV, Municipal and Public Works Construction. ONLY Contractors with this classification or a Specialty license in the area of Installation and Repair of Water/Wastewater Treatment Equipment may submit bids for this project. Bids received by Contractors without this classification will not be opened.
Bids will be received on a Lump Sum basis as described in the Contract Documents.
Award of Contract will be made within thirty days of receipt of Bids.
All work is to commence within 30 days after the Date of Contract. Completion of the work is required within 120 calendar days. All time limits commencing upon the date of issuance by registered mail of the Owner's "Notice to Proceed."
Bid security in the amount of 5 per cent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract.
Sureties will be required to meet qualifications set forth in the Contract Documents.
Bidders are invited to a prebid conference to discuss the project to be held on July 31st, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Waste Water Treatment Plant located at 1101 Burmaster St, Gretna, LA 70053
No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of 30 days after the date fixed for opening Bids.

Contractors shall provide discrete pricing for each of the base scopes of work and options detailed below. Base scopes of work A, B, C, and D will be considered base for the purposes of contract award. Options 1, 2, 3, and 4 shall be awarded at the discretion of Lockheed Martin. July 21, 22, 23, 2008
The Base scope of work in general consists of providing contractor services, which includes labor, material and equipment to demolish existing concrete foundations and metal storage racks, install pile supported foundations and concrete flowing, provide and install utilities to 12 workstations, and installation of two 10-ton bridge crane systems.
OPTION #1: Provide and install one additional 10-ton bridge crane and trolley.
OPTION #2: Provide and install overhead lighting system.
OPTION #3: Provide and install an epoxy floor coating system.
OPTION #4: The scope of work provides an area access control system using crib fencing, with electronically monitored gates and doors.
The basis of award will be the low responsive offer received from a responsible contractor for the base scopes of work A, B, C and D and options, if chosen for inclusion into the contract.
Estimated Range: $5,000,000 to $10,000,000
Prospective offerors are invited to attend a pre-bid symposium to be held on July 28, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. (CDT) at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lockheed Martin representatives will present an overview of NASA's future plans for Space Flight and outline the critical role at the Michoud Assembly facility will play in this endeavor. Questions are encouraged during the pre-bid symposium.
